Job summary

Leidos is seeking a strong Linux engineer with Debian experience to bring automation skills (Ansible, scripting, AI integration) to streamline operations and tie engineering and automation together.

You will join a skilled Linux team handling hybrid-cloud infrastructure across on-prem data centers and cloud resources, provide Tier 2–4 support, and lead Windows/Linux server and virtualization efforts in a security‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Poly is required.
• Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of experience, or Master's with 10+ years, or 16 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Debian Linux experience.
• VMware vCenter and NSX-T configuration/management.
• Experience with coordinating engineering projects including performing technical risk assessment, de-conflict implementations, and resolve technical questions or conflicts.
• Experience with operating and maintaining Active Directory, DNS, DFS, and DHCP.
• Experience maintaining DISA STIGS in accordance with security posture.
• Experience supporting and operating and maintaining infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Splunk, Check_MK, McAfee EPO, and BitLocker.
• Experience using ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate a hybrid-cloud mission infrastructure and services.
• Manage on-prem data centers and cloud resources.
• Accredit and document system deployments.
• Provide Tier 2–4 support for technology products.
• Lead projects for Windows/Linux servers, storage, and virtualization.
• Maintain inventory and encryption devices.
• Deploy infrastructure components and perform patching.
• Oversee Windows Group Policy and AWS deployments.
