Job summary

Leidos is seeking a strong Linux engineer with Debian experience to bring automation skills (Ansible, scripting, AI integration) to streamline and enhance efficiencies. You will join an existing team of Linux engineers, contributing to binding engineering and automation across the infrastructure.

The role involves building and operating a hybrid-cloud mission infrastructure, with on-prem and cloud resources, and supporting a 24/7 environment across data centers.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience or Master’s with 10+ years, or 16+ years in lieu of degree.
• Debian Linux experience.
• Experience configuring and managing VMware vCenter and VMware NSX-T.
• Experience coordinating engineering projects and risk assessment.
• Experience operating/maintaining Active Directory, DNS, DFS, and DHCP.
• Experience maintaining DISA STIGS, and supporting infra environments.
• Experience with Splunk, Check_MK, McAfee EPO, and BitLocker.
• Experience using ServiceNow for requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Join an existing Linux team to build and operate hybrid-cloud infrastructure and services.
• Provide Tier 2–4 support and troubleshooting for technology products and applications.
• Lead engineering efforts for Windows/Linux servers, storage, virtualization, and data center tasks.
• Coordinate hardware installation, provisioning, and lifecycle management across data centers.
• Develop and maintain documentation, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
• Ensure compliance with security posture and configuration standards in the sponsor environment.
