- Maintains system security and monitors logs and usage; mitigates intrusions.
- Maintains baseline configurations and adjusts settings as needed.
- Troubleshoots issues and leads incident response procedures.
- Provides leadership to less experienced engineers.
- Stays current with OS/software developments and applications.
- Offers direction in software development to enhance operating systems.
