Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an experienced Instructor Sr, Technical Training to support the Power Delivery Distribution Training program. The role focuses on delivering and maintaining linesman training from entry to journeyman levels, covering construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage distribution systems.

Travel across Georgia and Southern Company regions is required, with potential overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety, serve as a safety champion for employees through demonstration, teaching, coaching, actively caring and leading by example.
• Work with Training Support Services to help develop and maintain training programs as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Power Delivery Organization
• Regularly review student performance and provide developmental feedback
• Provide subject matter expertise to other work groups on methods, materials, equipment and tools for high voltage distribution systems
• Serve as a liaison to field representatives on technical and operational issues
• Provide technical expertise on committee assignments
• Serve as an FRC/ACS during storm restoration or provide damage assessment
