The Lineman – A Class role focuses on energized and de-energized line work, safety, and crew leadership on projects from distribution to fiber installations.

The position requires four years of experience, a valid Class A CDL, OSHA 10-hour training, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Must possess math skills along with basic knowledge of Electrical Theory.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Hazard awareness and safety precautions for electrical work.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Follow instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and accurately read data from meter dials.
• Respond to work orders for disconnections, reconnections, new orders, and other public works service.
• Maintain tools and equipment and stand on-call after hours as needed.
• Ensure safety standards for self and crew at all times.
