Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to join our team in Western Kentucky and Dallas/Fort Worth. The role involves working energized and de-energized lines, pole work, set and connect transformers, and maintaining safety standards for crew members.

The candidate must have 2-3 years of lineman experience, a valid driver license, and a Class A CDL with current medical card. OSHA 10hr training within 60 days is required; background checks and a pre-employment drug screen will be

Qualifications

Two to Three (2-3) years of lineman experience or equivalent hours.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License.
Must have a Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.
Pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
Completion of formal training program or at least four years of verifiable experience including three years of energized work.

Responsibilities

Know and apply methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
Follow safety precautions to prevent hazards.
Climb poles and carry out strenuous duties in diverse weather.
Read and record data from meter dials accurately.
Operate service truck and other distribution equipment.
Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines and strings wire on new construction or repairs.
