Columbus Water Works is seeking a Full Time Technician in Columbus, GA. You will locate and mark underground water and sewer mains using GIS, GPS, and line location devices, supervise four locators, and train staff per regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Field Services Supervisor, reviewing rules, and attending trainings. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather. Fort Benning access may be required.

Formación

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year line locating experience or 3 years water distribution/wastewater experience preferred.
• Experience with GPS, GIS mapping, and electronic line location devices preferred.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outside in all weather.

Responsabilidades

• Manage workflow for locate requests and coordinate with Field Services Supervisor.
• Locate and mark underground mains and service lines using GIS/GPS and devices.
• Interact with contractors/customers to complete locate requests.
• Maintain records of locate work and ensure equipment is maintained.
