White Lodging is hiring a Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team in Austin, TX. This kitchen leadership role is designed for an experienced line cook ready to take the next step toward Sous Chef, leading BOH operations in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

You will mentor junior cooks, ensure food safety and quality, and collaborate with the culinary team to maintain smooth production and service, with a clear path toward culinary management within White Lodging's premium properties.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred, not required.
• Experience leading kitchen staff.
• Ability to stand and move quickly in a high-volume kitchen.
• Solid knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Sous Chef in training and oversee BOH in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Mentor and collaborate with Entry Level Cooks, Line Cooks, culinary apprentices, and stewards while managing daily food preparation.
• Follow company F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal food safety guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards to meet financial targets.
