White Lodging is hiring for a kitchen role in Austin to mentor junior cooks, oversee daily prep and production, and ensure strict adherence to food safety and recipes. You’ll help manage food and labor costs while maintaining high quality and consistency across service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all cooking and preparation equipment.
• Basic cooking skills across multiple stations and techniques.
• Ability to stand and move quickly for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices while overseeing daily preparation and production.
• Follow F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed.
• Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards.
• Check freshness of foods and ingredients and ensure recipes/portions are followed.
• Monitor guest feedback scores through food quality and service consistency.
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
