White Lodging's Courtyard Austin Downtown is seeking an entry level cook to learn and practice culinary duties while supporting our kitchen. You will apply Food & Beverage procedures, follow health regulations, and help manage food and labor costs; passion for hospitality is valued.

Qualifications

• Culinary education or apprenticeship is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic cooking skills including sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, etc.
• Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Learn and practice full job duties as an entry level cook.
• Follow Food & Beverage procedures and health department regulations.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Maintain food cost and labor cost awareness.
• Check freshness of foods and ingredients; ensure recipe/portion accuracy.
• Monitor guest feedback scores and contribute to positive rankings.
• Support coworkers and perform other duties as assigned.
