Job summary

White Lodging is hiring an experienced line cook for Stella Van Buren, an upscale Italian American steakhouse inside the Westin Milwaukee Downtown. You will join a high-performing team in a fast-paced, open-concept kitchen and contribute to guest satisfaction.

Bring hands-on kitchen experience and a passion for quality. Culinary degree or apprenticeship is preferred but not required. This is a full-time, on-site role with excellent benefits and growth opportunities across hotel properties.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and tools.
• Proficiency in multiple cooking techniques including sautéing, broiling, frying and roasting.
• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand and work at a fast pace for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Work on the line in an open concept kitchen.
• Execute back-of-house operations following F&B procedures and health codes.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation.
• Help maintain food cost and labor cost targets.
• Check ingredient freshness and uphold recipe standards.
• Monitor portion use and adherence to standards.
• Contribute to positive guest feedback through consistent food quality.
