White Lodging in Austin is seeking a skilled cook leader to mentor entry-level cooks and supervise daily preparation in our food outlets. You will help maintain recipe accuracy, ensure safety standards, and uphold high quality in line with company procedures. This role emphasizes teamwork, cost control, and fast-paced execution, with opportunities for growth within a premium hospitality portfolio throughout the market.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all cooking and preparation equipment.
• Basic cooking skills across sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery.
• Culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices while overseeing daily preparation and production.
• Follow F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures at all times.
• Assist in maintaining food and labor cost standards.
• Check freshness of foods, ensuring recipes and portions are followed.
• Monitor guest feedback scores through food quality and service consistency.
• Foster cooperation and respect among coworkers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
