Job summary

XKIG is seeking a General Foreperson to coordinate crews for electric utility vegetation management and storm work. The role requires eliminating hazards, supervising equipment operation, and ensuring compliant, timely project execution.

Applicants should have at least 5 years in line clearance, knowledge of ropes and knots, and the ability to travel with a valid driver’s license. A background check and drug screen are required for this safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a General Foreperson in line clearance required.
• Previous experience around powerlines required.
• Familiarity with ropes and knots preferred.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Driver's License required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crew members, equipment, tools, and supplies to complete jobs efficiently, correctly, and profitably.
• Keep utility company representatives informed of crew composition and status.
• Maintain systems for equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
• Promptly dispatch crews to job sites.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety regulations and train crew on safety rules.
• Instruct crew on safe operation of equipment and materials; handle basic grievances.
