Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a highly skilled Lighting Technician to operate and maintain lighting elements for assigned venues, projects or events, ensuring the highest levels of show quality and a positive guest experience. You may work independently and/or report to a lead or supervisor.

Key responsibilities include assisting with installation, operation and strike of lighting equipment, interpreting lighting plots, troubleshooting, cleaning and restocking gear, operating

Qualifications

• Technical schooling or degree preferred.
• Experience with lighting equipment in entertainment settings.
• Ability to follow Crew Lead directions and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, operation and strike of lighting equipment.
• Interpret lighting plots and implement complex lighting systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain lighting gear under direction of Lead.
• Maintain venue inventory and perform gear restock post-project/event.
• Operate pre-programmed lighting consoles.
• Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety compliance.
