Job summary

Universal Horror Unleashed at Universal Destinations & Experiences seeks a Lighting Technician to support installation, maintenance, and daily operation of theatrical and themed entertainment lighting systems, including automated fixtures, LED pixel-mapping, and dimming infrastructure. You will provide work direction to team members to maintain high-quality illumination.

The role requires coordinating with Show Control, A/V, and leadership, ensuring safety standards, and handling programming

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with automated moving-head luminaires (Robe, ETC, Chauvet, Martin)
Proficiency with theatrical lighting control consoles (ETC Eos, grandMA2/3)
Knowledge of DMX512/RDM, Art-Net, sACN networks
Experience with LED luminaires and pixel-mapping
Ability to read lighting plots and DMX patch documentation

Responsibilities

Direct daily lighting tasks for team members and perform pre-show checks and focus for automated and conventional luminaires.
Lead startup/shutdown, rigging, and safety procedures using aerial work platforms and ladders.
Troubleshoot and resolve lighting system issues and document changes in Maximo.
Coordinate with Show Control, A/V, and leadership for lighting integration.
Support training and certification documentation for team members
