Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, and minimum 3 years Life Underwriting experience in production-oriented environment required
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Review cases and determine risk decisions using underwriting guidelines and data sources.
• Maintain knowledge base through ongoing education and industry exams (e.g., ALU, LOMA).
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to gather case information and explain decisions to customers/agents.
• Provide technical guidance to team and identify process improvements.
• Resolve escalations with urgency and keep stakeholders informed.
