Job summary

WTW is seeking a Senior Life Sciences Broker in the Phoenix area to lead strategic brokerage for life sciences clients, spanning biotech, pharma, medical devices, and CROs. You will leverage industry knowledge and carrier relationships to design multi-line programs, negotiate terms, and drive client value across domestic and international markets.

You will mentor junior teammates, contribute to product development, and stay ahead of regulatory and product liability trends affecting the sector.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license or ability to obtain and maintain as required.
• Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, CRM, CIC, or RPLU preferred.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Established relationships within the life sciences insurance marketplace.
• Experience working with global insurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead broker and strategic advisor for life sciences clients.
• Develop understanding of client operations, risk exposures, growth strategies, and regulatory environments.
• Provide consultative guidance on insurance program design and risk financing.
• Lead renewal strategy discussions and present solutions to executives.
• Foster long-term client relationships through proactive engagement and service.
• Design, market, negotiate, and place complex insurance programs.
• Develop tailored solutions for life sciences organizations at various development stages.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage enhancements with carriers.
• Maintain relationships with domestic and international markets.
• Participate in industry events and thought leadership initiatives.
• Collaborate with producers and client executives to develop winning strategies.
• Contribute to revenue growth through cross-selling and upselling.
• Stay current on trends affecting life sciences, incl. clinical, IP, cybersecurity.
• Provide market intelligence to clients and internal teams.
• Provide mentoring to developing brokers and team members.
• Contribute to life sciences-focused products and best practices.
