Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in the United States seeks a Senior Account Manager for Life Sciences Electron Microscopy to drive growth in cryo-EM and volume EM with academic institutions across a multi-state territory. You will lead sales strategy and manage relationships with principal investigators, lab managers, and core facilities.

You will collaborate with scientists to deliver demonstrations, workshops, and seminars while advancing academic research and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related field is required.
• 5+ years of sales or account management in scientific instrumentation.
• Experience with cryo-EM, structural biology, or advanced imaging is desirable.
• Experience selling to academic or research institutions.
• Proven complex capital equipment sales experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own all sales and account management responsibilities for Life Sciences Electron Microscopy solutions within academic institutions, national laboratories, and research centers across the assigned multi-state territory.
• Focus on cryo-EM platforms, sample preparation workflows, and volume EM technologies supporting structural biology and advanced imaging research.
• Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to institutional priorities, grant funding cycles, and core facility growth initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with principal investigators, lab managers, core facility directors, and university leadership across the region.
• Identify, develop, and close opportunities across the full workflow, including instrumentation, automation, software, and service offerings.
• Maintain accurate quarterly booking forecasts and provide regular updates to management.
