Job summary

Michael Page in Southern California is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for life sciences, healthcare and advanced technology projects. The role leads projects from preconstruction through turnover, directing budgets, schedules and client relationships to ensure successful delivery.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of commercial construction PM experience, a track record of managing ground-up and complex renovations, and strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing ground-up and complex renovation/TI projects.
• Proven success overseeing projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Strong financial management, forecasting, and budget control experience.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and lead cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and forecasting efforts
• Drive project execution to ensure schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives are achieved
• Oversee contract administration, subcontractor management, change orders, and risk mitigation
• Coordinate with field leadership to ensure successful project delivery
• Lead owner meetings and provide executive-level project reporting
• Manage commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities
• Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams during project pursuit and planning phases
• Mentor Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and emerging project staff
