Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior General Manager to lead property management on a premier medical/life sciences campus in Houston. You will drive operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and financial results while coordinating with building owners and multiple tenants across laboratory, research, and admin spaces.

The role requires deep life science facilities experience, strong leadership, budgeting, and a strategic mindset to develop property-specific plans aligned with client objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, Facilities Management, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in life science property or facility management.
• Proven track record of managing P&L and achieving financial targets in multi-tenant operations.
• Experience managing relationships with multiple tenants including lease administration and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual operating budgets and capital plans for life science facilities, with specialized infrastructure requirements, and ensure monthly reporting.
• Ensure compliance with biosafety standards and safety protocols across all operations.
• Implement comprehensive tenant satisfaction programs and regularly engage with life science tenants to meet operational needs.
• Oversee competitive bidding for life science facility services and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with tenants on scheduling, common areas, loading dock access, and shared infrastructure.
• Foster learning and development within the team, focusing on life science facility management best practices.
• Ensure operations comply with Property Management Agreements and biosafety regulations.
