Job summary

MassMutual seeks a Pricing Actuary to join the Life Pricing & Profitability team. The role partners with Underwriting and Medical to evaluate programs, monitor profitability metrics, and influence pricing strategies. You’ll contribute to analytics, modeling, and reporting to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate has ASA, 5+ years in pricing, and experience with life products and actuarial models. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• ASA designation.
• 5+ years of actuarial experience in pricing, experience studies or related actuarial functions.
• 1+ years of experience working with life insurance products.
• 2+ years of experience actuarial models.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and profitability analytics for life insurance products and programs.
• Evaluate underwriting programs and monitor key performance indicators.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and recurring profitability reports.
• Collaborate with underwriting, medical and product teams on pricing assumptions and initiatives.
• Analyze rider utilization, VNB/IRR metrics, and quarterly reporting.
