Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Senior Actuary for Life Modeling in Richmond, VA with hybrid remote/workplace options. You will lead Life modeling across UL and Traditional Life, guide modeling approaches, and drive modernization as AXIS deployment progresses.

You will collaborate with IT, Projections and Valuation teams to build scalable processes and improve tooling. You will bring 8+ years in life insurance, AXIS expertise, and strong communication and leadership to the role, mentoring staff and

Qualifications

BA/BS in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Engineering.
FSA or ASA with 7+ years of life insurance experience.
8+ years of life insurance experience across UL/TRAD products.
Strong expertise in AXIS modeling platform and related tools.
Proficiency in programming/data tools such as SQL, Excel and Python.

Responsibilities

Drive and contribute to Modeling & Modernization initiatives, including UL Conversion and AXIS deployment.
Collaborate with Valuation, Projections, Administration and IT to design end-to-end modeling processes.
Lead automation efforts and AI-enabled tooling to improve production efficiency.
Provide SME guidance on Life products and modeling approaches.
Support and influence assumption development and testing with the assumptions team.
Lead project workstreams from design to high-quality delivery.
Develop clear model documentation and governance artifacts.
Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior staff.
