Job summary

MassMutual is seeking an Axis Modeling Actuary to join the Life Valuation Modeling team in New York or Boston area. The role focuses on valuation, reporting, and strategic initiatives across the enterprise, leveraging Axis for projection inputs and outputs.

The ideal candidate will bring ASA, 4+ years of actuarial experience, and strong communication skills to collaborate with auditors and stakeholders while delivering GAAP, statutory, and tax results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, engineering, or related quantitative field.
• ASA designation.
• 4+ years actuarial experience in insurance/financial services.
• 1+ years experience with Axis.

Responsibilities

• Apply deep modeling expertise to input, processing, and output of valuation projections in Axis.
• Execute complex projects such as Cash Flow Testing, new product implementations, and assumption changes.
• Deliver and explain Stat, Tax and GAAP financial results.
• Develop and improve control and versioning in valuation models.
• Collaborate with internal and external technology partners to improve efficiency.
• Navigate complex valuation software with knowledge of life insurance products and regulations.
• Work with audit stakeholders to demonstrate regulatory and model governance compliance.
• Respond quickly to stakeholder questions and unexpected results under tight deadlines.
