Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a seasoned Life Insurance Operations Manager in Nashville to oversee policy administration, servicing, and related processes. You will ensure SLA achievement, guide a team, and drive continuous improvement across life insurance operations.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in life insurance operations and 2+ years in supervisory roles, with strong analytical and communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and Lean/Six Sigma exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of life insurance operations experience.
• 2+ years in an operations supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with life insurance policy administration systems and workflows.
• Knowledge of SLA/KPI management and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean or Six Sigma) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations for assigned life insurance processes within SLAs.
• Monitor workloads, staffing levels, productivity, backlogs, and operational performance.
• Assign work and manage priorities based on volumes, client requirements, and team capacity.
• Ensure processes are executed consistently and per documented procedures and controls.
• Identify operational risks, bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Escalate significant operational, client, compliance, or quality issues to management promptly.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations associates and senior associates.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and PIP activities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer service.
• Identify high-potential employees and support career development and succession planning.
• Provide subject-matter guidance on life insurance policy administration and servicing processes.
• Oversee policy issuance, new business, underwriting support, policy changes, billing, and servicing.
• Review complex transactions and ensure proper documentation and controls.
• Stay current with life insurance products, regulatory requirements, and client-specific procedures.
• Review quality trends and develop action plans to address recurring errors or gaps.
• Support internal and external audits and provide required documentation.
