Job summary

Harmony Senior Services seeks a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant in Charleston, SC to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing, implementing, and facilitating a spectrum of recreational and educational programs across Independent Living and Assisted Living neighborhoods.

You will help develop monthly activity plans aligned with Harmony signature programs, lead multiple daily activities, and build strong resident and family connections to foster satisfaction and engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; entry level with 1-3 years experience desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging and passionate about working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Leads 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Assists in surveying and interviewing residents to complete the Resident Life Profile and determine interests and satisfaction.
• Partners with LED, HSD, and HS assistant to plan calendars, events, and outings for the upcoming month.
• Develops relationships with residents and families to encourage participation and satisfaction.
• Maintains records as required and assists in resident council meetings.
• Assists in organizing, maintaining, and staging programming areas and supplies.
