Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an Actuary to shape life insurance assumptions for pricing, product strategy, risk management, and business decisions. You will own experience studies from data through recommendations and present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Role offers end-to-end ownership, collaboration across actuarial, finance, product, and technology, and emphasis on responsible AI in actuarial work.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or similar with modeling/programming/quantitative analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead data compilation, categorization and analysis for actuarial work.
• Construct testing tools and product calculations.
• Build and maintain Actuarial, Projection & Valuation Models.
• Conduct financial reporting and analysis.
• Price and support product implementation.
• Conduct risk analysis for lines of business/products.
• Establish reserves under statutory/GAAP/tax regimes for products.
• Lead and share actuarial insights with leadership.
