Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. seeks a Remote Sensing Senior Project Manager to lead LiDAR and UAS projects from initiation to completion in Austin, Texas. You will develop proposals, manage budgets, schedules, and risks while mentoring a team and expanding client relationships.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in LiDAR/UAS, 5+ years in PM and BD, and a solid track record with TerraSolid, LP360, Global Mapper, and MS Project. This on-site role partners with marketing and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in geomatics, surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of work experience with LiDAR and UAS projects, including 5+ years in project management and business development.
• Strong understanding of LiDAR/UAS technologies, applications, and best practices.
• Experience with LiDAR data processing software (TerraSolid, LP360, Global Mapper).
• Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
• Knowledge of industry regulations for LiDAR/UAS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LiDAR and UAS projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop project plans including schedules, budgets, resources, and risks.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to reach milestones.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to industry best practices.
• Train team members on LiDAR/UAS practices and technologies.
• Stay updated on UAS regulations and emerging tech.
• Collaborate with marketing to create materials and strategies.
• Participate in industry events as speaker/panelist to share insights.
• Create a social media presence showcasing LiDAR/UAS projects.
• Lead initiatives on sustainability or social responsibility using LiDAR/UAS.
• Explore new applications for LiDAR/UAS, including wildlife tracking and mapping.
