Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Remote Sensing Senior Project Manager to lead LiDAR and UAS initiatives in Austin, Texas. You will manage from initiation to completion, build client relationships, develop proposals, and pursue new business opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in geomatics with hands-on LiDAR/UAS experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to drive profitability and growth through strategic marketing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in geomatics, surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of work experience, preferably on LiDAR/UAS projects, with 5+ years in project management including business development.
• Strong understanding of LiDAR/UAS technologies, applications, and best practices.
• Experience with LiDAR data processing software such as TerraSolid, LP360, or Global Mapper.
• Experience with project management software (MS Project, Asana, Trello).
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards for LiDAR/UAS.
• UAS pilot license or certification.
• Knowledge of remote sensing technologies and applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LiDAR and UAS projects from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve milestones.
• Ensure quality control standards and adherence to industry best practices.
• Train and mentor team members on LiDAR/UAS technologies.
• Stay up to date with UAS regulations and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop materials and strategies.
• Pursue new business opportunities and develop proposals.
• Lead initiatives related to sustainability or social responsibility.
