Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a Licensing Manager to join the Natrium Licensing team in Rockville, MD. You will lead licensing activities, oversee a distributed group of engineers, and coordinate with the regulator to ensure compliance with TerraPower’s licensing strategy.

Responsibilities include preparing safety/environmental documents, reviewing NRC questions, and guiding pre-application to licensing applications while maintaining high QA standards and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of nuclear industry experience.
• 2+ years in new or advanced reactor licensing or oversight.
• 2+ years of supervisory or mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with 10 CFR regulations and 50 applications.
• Excellent communicator with team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute ongoing licensing activities.
• Ensure quality and timely licensing documents (e.g., safety reports).
• Coordinate NRC audit responses and information requests.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintain licensing documentation with QA standards.
• Interface with TerraPower teams and partners.
• Develop licensing strategies to support project goals.
