Qualifications

• MLS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive customer service experience in patron-facing environments.
• Experience in supervising staff and coordinating programs.
• Thorough knowledge of public library principles and practices.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to plan, set goals and achieve objectives.
• Experience with library circulation systems and catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Sets priorities and goals for Plaza location and directs related departments.
• Guides staff and acts as mentor to supervisors and managers.
• Provides professional expertise on committees and community partnerships.
• Directs staff, hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates employees.
• Ensures high-quality library services and maintains staffing within budget.
• Manages Plaza programming budget in collaboration with other managers.
• Supports public programs and builds community partnerships.
