Mid-Continent Public Library is seeking a Branch Manager II to lead a busy library branch, supervise staff, and implement policies and programs. You will work with leadership to manage budget, oversee facilities, and guide collections and merchandising to engage patrons.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, collaboration with stakeholders, and staff development to support library services and community programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program is required.
• 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• 3 years library experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Manages branch staff of 15-35 employees and plans work schedules.
• Leads hiring process for 5-10 new staff annually with HR.
• Oversees facilities and safety for a 25,000+ sq ft branch.
• Curates collection and merchandising; trains staff in displays.
• Interacts with customers on the floor to model service.
• Manages branch budget and coordinates programming/outreach.
