Job summary

Wake County Public Libraries (WCPL) seeks an Adult Services Manager for the Southeast Regional Library in Garner, NC. You will supervise Librarians and Library Assistants, help lead a management team, and collaborate with peers across the system to deliver high-quality adult services and programs.

The role requires MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program and at least one year as a Librarian; three years of professional public library experience and supervisory/management experience are

Qualifications

Master's degree in Librarianship or related field (MLS/MLIS/MIS) from an ALA-accredited program
One year of experience as a Librarian
Three years of professional public library experience (preferred)
One year of supervisory or management experience in a public library (preferred)

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of Librarians and Library Assistants in providing excellent library service, dynamic programs and professional one-on-one assistance to adults
Work as part of the library's management team to oversee operations and act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Library Manager
Collaborate with peers and Librarians across the system on programs and other system initiatives
