Job summary

Manatee County Library System is seeking an experienced Branch Library Manager for Lakewood Ranch and surrounding locations. The role oversees daily operations, staff supervision, and service delivery to the public, ensuring high-quality customer experiences.

The position requires a Master’s degree in library science, 5+ years of library experience, and 3+ years of supervisory responsibility, with strong knowledge of ILS and library technologies. A valid FL driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library science required.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible library experience.
• Three or more years of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a branch library within the County system.
• Provide staff oversight and ensure high-quality customer service.
• Assist with budgeting and resource allocation for the assigned location.
• Engage with community partners and represent the library in meetings.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports and maintain records.
