Job summary

City of Palo Alto's Rinconada Library seeks an Adult Services Senior Librarian to shape welcoming programs for adults and older residents. You will lead, connect with community partners, and guide collections and reader services.

You’ll collaborate with the Adult Services team across branches to plan engaging programs, provide reference services, and support outreach and community needs for Palo Alto’s diverse adult population and retirees.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.
• Three years of professional librarian experience; an MS in Library Science may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, promote, and deliver programs and services for adults, including older adults.
• Build relationships with community organizations and partners to expand the library’s reach.
• Collaborate with the Adult Services team to strengthen services across branches.
• Help customers locate information, library resources, and their next great read.
• Select, evaluate, and maintain designated library collections.
