Job summary

Davies North America in the United States seeks a Liability Claims Adjuster to handle complex liability and property claims, including investigation of coverage and damages, negotiations with attorneys, contractors, and public adjusters, and timely reserve management.

You will work within the Claims Administration & Adjusting department, overseeing large loss reports and coordinating with defense counsel and clients, while maintaining rigorous documentation and compliance with applicable

Qualifications

• Must be able to negotiate and settle large exposure liability and property claims.
• Experience evaluating coverage, liability and damages in complex cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims.
• Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients.
• Ability to interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
• Plan, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.
• Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims.
• Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel to protect client’s money and claims.
