Job summary

Swagelok in Solon, OH seeks a Level III Machine Operator to produce high‑quality fluid-system components in a modern, temperature‑controlled facility. You will troubleshoot, set up machines, and perform changeovers with a focus on safety and productivity.

The role requires hands‑on machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently within Swagelok's SPS. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 30 months of machining or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with machine setup, blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of tooling and metal cutting equipment.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and changeover manufacturing equipment according to standard work instructions and production schedules.
• Follow SPS and participate in daily shift start-up meetings.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, comparators, ring gauges and other inspection tools.
• Monitor machine outputs and adjust tooling, fixtures, and settings for quality and efficiency.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining issues independently.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
• Document production activities and maintain manufacturing records.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, or safety.
• Train and mentor less experienced operators.
