Job summary

NTT DATA Services seeks a Senior Ontologist for the Lending domain to design and maintain semantic models across lending products. You will collaborate with data architects, governance, and AI/ML teams to align semantic models with data products and enterprise data catalogs.

You will leverage Snowflake, AWS Neptune, SageMaker, and IAM to support graph modeling, data discovery, and AI-enabled use cases while applying RDF/OWL/SPARQL standards and governance practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data modeling, semantic modeling, ontology engineering, knowledge management, or enterprise data architecture.
• 5+ years in ontology modeling, semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, or taxonomy management.
• 5+ years in Banking, Financial Services, or lending data and processes.
• 3+ years with US lending products (origination, underwriting, servicing, credit risk, collections).
• 3+ years with Snowflake and enterprise data environments.
• 2+ years with AWS services (Neptune, SageMaker, IAM).
• Strong understanding of RDF, OWL, SPARQL, graph databases, metadata management, and semantic data modeling.
• Experience mapping concepts to physical data models and data catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ontologies and semantic models for US lending products and data assets.
• Define business concepts, entities, relationships, taxonomies, and metadata standards across lending domains.
• Model end-to-end lending lifecycle: origination, underwriting, servicing, credit risk, collections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, governance, and AI/ML teams to align semantic models with data products.
• Map ontology concepts to physical data models, Snowflake assets, and data catalogs.
• Develop and maintain knowledge graphs and semantic layers for data discovery and AI use cases.
• Leverage AWS services (Neptune, SageMaker, IAM) for graph modeling and secure data access.
• Apply RDF/OWL/SPARQL standards for ontology development and governance.
• Establish ontology governance, naming conventions, and reusable modeling practices.
• Support data governance, data quality, metadata management, and enterprise data management initiatives.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to enable semantic search and data-driven solutions.
• Evaluate and improve ontology models based on evolving requirements and standards.
