Job summary

NTT DATA in Charlotte, North Carolina is hiring a Senior Ontologist to design, implement, and govern ontologies for US lending domains. You will model concepts, map to Snowflake data assets, and collaborate with AI/ML teams to enable data-driven solutions.

You will leverage AWS services such as Neptune and SageMaker, apply RDF/OWL standards, and contribute to data governance and metadata management across enterprise data assets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data modeling, semantic modeling, ontology engineering, knowledge management, or enterprise data architecture.
• 5+ years in ontology modeling, semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, or taxonomy management.
• 3+ years in Banking, Financial Services, or lending-related data and processes.
• 3+ years hands-on with Snowflake and enterprise data environments.
• 2+ years with AWS services, preferably Neptune, SageMaker and IAM.
• Strong understanding of RDF, OWL, SPARQL, graph databases, metadata management, and semantic data modeling.
• Experience mapping business concepts to physical data models and data catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ontologies and semantic models for US lending products and data assets.
• Map ontology concepts to data models, Snowflake assets, and data catalogs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, governance teams, and AI/ML teams.
• Develop knowledge graphs and semantic layers to support data discovery, lineage, and AI-enabled use cases.
• Leverage AWS services (Neptune, SageMaker, IAM) for graph modeling and secure data access.
• Apply RDF/OWL/SPARQL standards to develop ontology models.
• Establish ontology governance, naming conventions, and metadata standards.
