Job summary

Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a Principal Application Specialist - Lending to lead the IT loan application support team and serve as a subject matter expert. You will manage day-to-day operations, coordinate with Business, Tech, and vendors, and drive changes and upgrades across lending platforms.

The role requires deep lending tech knowledge, strong communication, and leadership to guide acquisition/conversion initiatives and optimize systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a banking or financial services environment focusing on applications implementation, testing, maintenance, configuration, and support.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent management experience.
• Experience building complex workflows and business process maps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert level experience in the following technologies or similar a plus: FIS core banking; Digital and Mobile Banking Platforms; loan origination, servicing, documentation or other lending technologies; Payment Processing Systems; Microsoft technologies; AWS; Salesforce; ServiceNow; MuleSoft middleware; REST; SOA; API; Oracle, JAVA and Open Source; VBScript or other scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Handling of day-to-day workflow and Level 3 support for complex issues.
• Lead acquisition and conversion activities including data mapping and conversion reports.
• Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
• System tuning and optimization.
• Support change management and product/project implementation.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and training, and develop best practice processes.
• Technical ownership including evaluating new releases and monitoring roadmaps.
