The Senior Leisure Sales Manager is a remote position based in California or Texas, supporting the strategic efforts of Grand Hyatt Vail in driving new Consortia, Wholesale, and Travel business. The role requires understanding hospitality, hotel sales, and agency sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in customer service, creativity, time management, and follow-through.


This position involves selling, auditing, and prospecting all consortia and wholesale accounts for Grand Hyatt Vail. Essential Job Functions
  1. Conduct market research for new business opportunities using Agency 360 and other online tools.
  2. Manage current accounts through weekly sales calls and client events.
  3. Solicit new accounts and secure business via familiarization tours, site visits, and sales calls.
  4. Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and negotiate contracts with support from the Area Leisure Sales Manager.
  5. Maintain organized documentation and reporting in Hyatt's Envision software.
  6. Utilize Hyatt's reservation systems (Prio and Reserve) and coordinate customer service with hotel operations, seeking process improvements.
  7. Travel as needed to attend tradeshows and connect with customers.
  8. Participate in sales meetings and strategy sessions.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Directors of Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications

External Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of hospitality sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in luxury or upper-upscale properties preferred.
  • Knowledge of the local market is a plus.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow through.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management.
  • Proficiency in computer systems such as Hotelligence, Lanyon, and Sabre RFP is advantageous.
  • Community involvement or professional associations are highly regarded.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
