The Senior Leisure Sales Manager is a remote position based in California or Texas supporting the Grand Hyatt Vail's strategic efforts in driving new Consortia, Wholesale, and Travel business. The candidate should have a good understanding of hospitality, hotel sales, and agency sales processes, with a proven track record in customer service, creativity, time management, and follow-through.

This role involves selling, auditing, and prospecting all consortia and wholesale accounts for the Grand Hyatt Vail. Essential Job Functions:

  1. Conduct market research for new business opportunities using Agency 360 and other online tools.
  2. Manage current accounts by organizing weekly sales calls and client events.
  3. Secure new business through familiarization tours, site visits, and sales calls.
  4. Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and negotiate contracts with support from the Area Leisure Sales Manager.
  5. Maintain organized documentation and reporting using Hyatt's Envision software.
  6. Utilize Hyatt's reservation systems (Prio and Reserve) and coordinate customer service with hotel operations, seeking process improvements.
  7. Travel as needed to attend tradeshows and conduct sales calls.
  8. Participate in sales strategy meetings and other duties as assigned by the Directors of Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications

External Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of hospitality sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in luxury or upper-upscale properties preferred.
  • Knowledge of the local market is a plus.
  • Ability to follow through and meet deadlines.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with good time management.
  • Proficiency in computer systems such as Hotelligence, Lanyon, Sabre RFP is a plus.
  • Community involvement and professional affiliations are highly regarded.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
