Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Senior Research Analyst to conduct in-depth legal and business research that supports attorneys and administrative teams. You will develop training, onboard new associates, and advise on research strategy while leveraging GenAI tools to advance the firm’s objectives.

The role emphasizes staying current with legal industry trends, delivering thorough analyses, and collaborating across departments in a fast-paced, global environment. Overtime is not required.

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA-accredited library school.
• 7+ years of professional research experience in a private law firm, academic law library, or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of a wide variety of information sources (Westlaw, Lexis, S&P Capital IQ, PitchBook, Intelligize, InfoNgen, Derwent Innovation, Saegis).
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, including data analytics and AI, and their impact on research.
• Strong interviewing and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivers proactive and value-added research to the firm.
• Provides expert legal and business research assistance to attorneys and staff in a timely manner.
• Maintains knowledge of internal knowledge resources to enhance outputs.
• Presents findings to support informed decision making.
• Advises attorneys on research strategy and resource selection.
