Job summary

Legora, a Chicago-based AI-powered legal tech company, is hiring a Lead Legal Engineer. You’ll act as a player-coach, leading our most complex client engagements while mentoring a team of Legal Engineers.

Combining deep legal knowledge with product sense, you’ll drive adoption, accelerate time-to-value, and deliver measurable outcomes for clients and the team. Candidates should have a law background, direct people management experience, and a track record delivering large-scale client

Qualifications

• Background in law, with experience at a top-tier firm, in-house legal team, or legal tech environment.
• Direct people management experience, including hiring, developing, and performance management in a client-facing or delivery setting.
• Senior experience delivering complex client implementations or programmes with multiple stakeholders.
• Product-savvy and tech-curious, with a solid understanding of generative AI and legal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-level pilots and implementations across multiple stakeholders and products from discovery to go-live.
• Own priority client use cases end-to-end, shaping scalable onboarding and implementation frameworks.
• Serve as a senior thought partner to clients, building trusted relationships with partners and legal ops leaders.
• Deliver executive demos, workshops, and presentations, articulating value and handling objections.
