Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP in Dallas, TX seeks a Professional Development Manager to support the professional development of lawyers in the Dallas office. The role partners with practice leaders to implement local and firmwide programs, ensuring attorney development, engagement, and CLE compliance.

The position reports to a Dallas-based Professional Development Director and supervises a Dallas-based Professional Development Specialist. Occasional travel to other US offices may be required.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree is required.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in learning and development, law, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to format presentations, graphs, charts, and other visual methods of presenting information.
• Ability to work effectively across offices and time zones.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other US offices.

Responsibilities

• Support attorney professional development locally and regionally in the Dallas office.
• Develop and deliver regional and firmwide training offerings to meet professional, business, and client-service goals.
• Collaborate with the firm committees to enhance orientation and integration programs and supervise the Dallas Professional Development Specialist.
• Track training opportunities and generate related reports.
