Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Supply Chain to serve as a strategic partner across procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and operations. The role will structure, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting Fluence’s energy storage business in a fast-paced, global environment.

The candidate will advise on regulatory, anti-corruption, and IP matters, while managing risk and enabling business objectives with practical solutions across North America,

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 7+ years of legal experience, including substantial experience supporting commercial transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, or commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracting principles: warranties, indemnification, risk allocation, liability, IP, supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and manage master supply and related agreements.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, volume commitments, warranties, IP rights, and dispute resolution terms.
• Provide practical legal support for global sourcing, procurement, manufacturing, and supplier management.
• Advise on domestic content requirements, trade compliance, and regulatory issues as they pertain to supply chain.
• Protect and coordinate IP/technology matters within supply and manufacturing transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver risk-balanced legal solutions and develop templates and processes.
