Vedder Price LLP in Chicago is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to support a portfolio of shareholders through monthly billing cycles. You will ensure accurate client invoices, update rates, manage WIP/AR, and deliver superior service while collaborating with attorneys, managers and clients.

The role requires deep knowledge of billing processes, experience in a law firm, and the ability to handle complex bills and special projects. A hybrid work model enhances work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years billing experience in a law firm.
• Proficiency in Elite/3E and E-Billing Hub; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review and bill attorney hours and disbursements.
• Review and edit proformas in response to requests.
• Apply retainer/unallocated funds; enter BOA charges.
• Process write-offs following Firm policy.
• Manage high-volume, complex billing and WIP/AR.
• Create billing reports and analyses as required.
• Assist with training of new staff.
