Qualifications

  • 3+ years of legal assistant experience in IP or similar area of law
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, court procedures, docketing, and electronic filing
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Excellent proofreading, organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, draft, and format legal documents, correspondence, and other materials
  • Proofread documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting accuracy
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, court dates, depositions, hearings, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with client intake, file management, and electronic/paper document organization
  • Coordinate billing tasks, matter intake/update forms, check requests, and other administrative duties
  • Provide support to attorneys and collaborate with other Legal Assistants in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting daily legal operations

A distinguished law firm with offices throughout the Eastern United State has a need for a Senior Legal Assistant. The Legal Assistant will provides administrative and clerical support to a team of attorneys, including preparing legal documents, managing schedules and deadlines, communicating with clients, and utilizing practice-specific software. Works both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
