Job summary

Brownlee Lighting, a family‑owned LED lighting manufacturer in Orlando, seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer to lead engineering execution for new fixtures. You will translate design intent into releasable packages, support NPD tollgates, and collaborate with Product Design & Strategy and Production teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years in product design or mechanical engineering, strong SolidWorks and GD&T skills, and experience with LED lighting, thermal management, and related testing.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–10+ years in product design or mechanical engineering roles.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proficient in SolidWorks with strong 3D modeling and detailing skills.
• Familiar with LED lighting design, controls, and thermal management.

Responsibilities

• Design, drafting, and development of new products from concept to design release.
• Create production-ready drawings with full revision control.
• Lead NPD deliverables through tollgates under design head supervision.
• Perform in-house testing: thermal, water intrusion, and light measurements.
• Prepare BOMs and manufacturing documentation for release.
• Support production, sales, and procurement as needed.
