Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II for the Lighting & Controls division in Denver, CO. You will develop high-quality luminaire designs from concept through production and create configurable product families that balance performance, cost, and ease of assembly.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, leverage SolidWorks, and contribute to safety, quality, and DFMA initiatives while thriving in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Proficient in Solidworks and mechanical design; proficient in Microsoft office suite.
• Team player mentality with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of project management and stage gate methodologies.
• Working knowledge of DFMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing products using CAD and engineering drawings.
• Support improvements to existing products and custom solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
• Analyze design changes and support engineering evaluations.
• Follow all safety and compliance standards.
• Support special projects as assigned to meet business needs.
• Analyze historical engineering data to identify design trends and opportunities.
• Create technical communication assets (drawings, renderings, portfolios).
• Work directly with engineers, marketing, and product teams on real deliverables.
