Qualifications

  • Earned Master’s degree in audio engineering, music technology, recording arts, or a related field, or bachelor’s degree with significant professional recording engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with DAWs and post-production tools (e.g., Pro Tools Ultimate, Logic, Nuendo), Dolby Atmos workflows, Dante, and studio maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in recording engineering and commercial music, including immersive workflows and Dolby Atmos, with emphasis on scoring and delivery integration.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for scheduling, maintenance, calibration, infrastructure development, and long-term planning for the recording lab and immersive environment.
  • Coordinate student projects, supervise student engineers and graduate assistants, and oversee recording support for ensembles and faculty projects.
  • Develop industry partnerships and experiential learning opportunities (guest artists, internships, certifications).
  • Advise student capstone/practicum projects and juried portfolios; contribute to assessment and outreach initiatives.
